Cultivating a Distinctive Brand for the Native Plant Institute of Greater New Orleans

Overview:
The Native Plant Institute of Greater New Orleans (NPI-GNO) approached me with a clear mission: to promote native plants and conservation in the Greater New Orleans area. They had several ideas for their branding but needed help bringing those concepts to life. I was thrilled to partner with them to create a cohesive and impactful brand identity that would resonate with their audience and support their mission.

Brand Development:
NPI-GNO came to me with initial ideas that had potential but needed refinement and execution. Working closely with their team, I was able to elevate these concepts and create a brand package that exceeded their expectations. The branding process involved creating a primary mark that served as the cornerstone of their identity, along with multiple logo variations and submarks to ensure flexibility across various platforms and materials.
The brand package was designed to be versatile, incorporating a full color palette as well as black and white options, allowing NPI-GNO to maintain a consistent visual identity in all their communications. The final design effectively captured the essence of NPI-GNO’s mission, using elements that reflect the natural beauty and ecological importance of native plants in the region.

Impact:
The branding has provided NPI-GNO with a strong and recognizable visual identity that supports their efforts to educate the public and promote conservation. The multiple logo variations and submarks allow the organization to adapt their branding to different contexts, ensuring that their message is consistently communicated.
