“Trust the process.”

This mindset driving the Outside In Design Studio workflow: behind every great outcome is a defined process.

Step 1: Discovery

Let’s get started! The first and most crucial step when creating something together is that we understand your needs. We start by sending you a questionnaire asking you some basic questions about your business and brand. From there, we discuss pricing and timeline. We’ll send you a contract and an invoice for the initial deposit and start working on your project once we receive a signed contract and the deposit.

Step 2: Creative

This is the fun part! We’ll start by researching your work, the work of your competitors, your target audience, and your industry. Then we’ll start developing some concepts with basic sketches, typography exploration, and early ideas.

“Focus on one thing. Iconic designs that stand apart from a crowd have just one feature to help with differentiation. That’s it.”

— David Airey, Logo Design Love

Step 3: Feedback

Communication is key! We usually bake in 2-3 rounds of feedback so that you can tell me if we’re on the right track. We like to share our decisions and thought processes behind the designs and ask for your honest opinion.

Step 4: Approval

When you’re excited about the design and have signed off on the final proof, we’ll follow up with a final invoice. After the approved designs are paid in full, we’ll send you all final artwork and files directly through email.

Step 5: Execution

You’re now free to do whatever you’d like with the work! Print, distribute, or publish however you see fit. We’re always happy to stay in touch to answer any questions or provide any help that we can.

After the project is completed, we might feature it on our website or social media and rave about how awesome you were to work with! Don’t worry, we’ll never show a design until you do so first or you give explicit approval.
