Crafting a Timeless Brand for Deer Valley Folk Fest

Updated DVFF 'crest'

Overview:

The Deer Valley Folk Fest (DVFF) in Fort Hill, PA, had its debut in 2023, and following its success, I was approached by Jodi, one of the festival organizers, to help finalize the DVFF branding. The festival had used a temporary logo designed by Erik Allen Ford of Buck Mason clothing company for its first year. With input from Leanne Ford of Leanne Ford Interiors, I was tasked with developing a cohesive brand package that would capture the essence of this unique festival.

Brand Development:

Our goal was to create a brand identity that reflected the festival's rustic charm and community spirit. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful surroundings of the Deer Valley YMCA family camp, I designed a simple yet iconic branding package. The brand features clean, minimalist silhouettes based on photos taken at the camp, creating a strong visual connection to the festival's location and atmosphere.

Social Media Templates:

In addition to the brand package, I developed branded Canva templates for DVFF’s social media presence. These templates were designed to be flexible and easy to use, allowing the festival team to create cohesive and visually appealing content across various platforms. The templates maintained the simplicity and elegance of the brand while providing a consistent look for all festival communications.
