Cultivating Awareness with a Brand Refresh for the Louisiana Native Plant Society
Overview:
Working with the Louisiana Native Plant Society (LNPS) has been a deeply fulfilling experience, as their mission aligns with my passion for impactful work. LNPS is dedicated to the preservation, conservation, and study of native plants in their habitats, promoting knowledge of their utilization, and educating the public about the importance of native plants. Over the years, I have had the privilege of collaborating with LNPS on multiple projects that support their vital work.
Brand Refresh:
One of our key projects involved refreshing the LNPS brand. Their old logo, while familiar, needed an update to better reflect the organization’s evolving identity and the modern conservation movement. I worked on modernizing the logo, creating a design that is both contemporary and deeply rooted in the natural beauty of Louisiana’s native plants. The refreshed logo serves as a strong visual representation of LNPS’s mission and values, helping to enhance their recognition and impact.
Coloring Book:
In collaboration with Lauren de Bautte, we also created a unique coloring book featuring 15 pages of native plants and educational information related to Southeast Louisiana. This project was designed not only to engage the public in a fun and creative way but also to educate them about the importance of native plants and their habitats. The coloring book includes a link to LNPS’s website, encouraging further exploration and learning. This resource is freely available for download, making it accessible to a wide audience and further spreading LNPS’s message of conservation and education.

Certification Logo:
Most recently, I worked on designing a logo for LNPS’s habitat certification program. This logo is a symbol of recognition for habitats that meet specific criteria in supporting native plants and wildlife. The certification logo needed to be easily recognizable and convey the values of LNPS while being adaptable for use across various materials. The final design successfully captures the essence of the certification program, providing a visual mark of commitment to environmental stewardship.
