Revitalizing the Brand and Digital Presence for Outsiders Vintage

Overview:

My collaboration with Stacy, the creative force behind Outsiders Vintage, a vintage furniture reseller and restorer, began in an unexpected way—when I purchased a pair of dressers from her warehouse in Chalmette. This initial connection led to a conversation about her need for a website, and I suggested the idea of revamping her logo as well. Stacy, a former graffiti artist turned vintage furniture restorer, had a clear vision for her brand. Together, we embarked on a journey to create a brand and website that truly reflected her artistic style and the unique character of her business.

Brand Development:

Stacy’s vision for her brand centered around the Ouroboros, an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail, representing the cyclical nature of life and renewal. Given her background in graffiti art and her passion for vintage furniture, it was important to capture both the edginess and the classic mid-century feel in the branding. We worked closely to refine the design, making the Ouroboros friendlier while still maintaining its symbolic integrity and adding a vintage edge that aligned with her aesthetic.

The result was a logo that not only resonated with Stacy’s artistic sensibilities but also communicated the essence of Outsiders Vintage—restoring and giving new life to vintage pieces, much like the cycle depicted in the Ouroboros.

Website Creation:

Once the branding was finalized, we turned our attention to developing a website that would serve as a portfolio for Stacy’s work. The website was designed to showcase her restored vintage pieces in a visually appealing and user-friendly way, allowing potential customers to easily browse her offerings and get a sense of her unique style. The website also needed to reflect the brand’s identity, carrying through the vintage and mid-century elements we established in the logo.

Impact:

The completed branding and website have provided Outsiders Vintage with a strong, cohesive identity that effectively communicates the essence of the business. The portfolio site has become a key tool for Stacy, allowing her to showcase her work and connect with customers who appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship behind each restored piece.
