Bringing Nightshade Farm & Flowers' Brand to Life
Overview:
When Becca Greaney, a farmer-florist in New Orleans and a dear friend, approached me about updating her logo for Nightshade Farm & Flowers, I was thrilled to help create branding that truly reflected her vibrant personality and beautiful work. Given Becca’s clear vision and our close relationship, this project was a highly collaborative effort, ensuring that every detail was just right.

Brand Development:
Becca had a strong sense of what she wanted for her brand, which made our collaboration unique. Together, we worked to design a logo that encapsulated the essence of her farm and flowers. The focal point of the branding became an illustrated bouquet that sought to do justice to the stunning arrangements Becca creates in real life.

After we initially completed the project, Becca revisited the logo, feeling that the typography didn’t fully capture her vision. It was important to me that Becca felt proud of her branding, so we worked together to refine the type until it matched her expectations perfectly.

Collaborative Success:
In addition to updating Nightshade’s branding, I connected Becca with another client, Really Really Nice Wines, to create a partnership where she could sell her flowers at their uptown Magazine Street location. To celebrate this exciting collaboration, we hosted a dinner party at Becca’s farm, which was beautifully photographed by Maddy Rose. I also designed a special t-shirt to commemorate the occasion, further cementing the bond between these two local businesses.
